EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL

 ADOPT FEE - FULLY VETTED:  $ 117.00

My Story:

I was at a kill shelter with my days sadly numbered. Thank goodness ARK came along and saved my life! I passed the AKC Good Canine Citizen Test.

I am sweet, strong and eager to please! I would make a great ESA dog. I am right around 5 and weigh around 60 pounds. I do however have a skin allergy which is being controlled by a Salmon Grain free dog food.

I would fit best in a home with no cats or small children, as they make me nervous. I need to be introduced to dogs though because some I'll like and some I won't - and it really depends on how I'm introduced and treated. Most I like playing with!

I'm good on a leash, am pretty mellow and sweet. I do kennel but it makes me depressed; I really need to feel free. Won't you consider making me a member of your family? I'll love you forever!

 Emotional Support Animals (ESA)

An animal does not need to be a Certified Emotional Support Animal. They are not required to undergo specialized training. They can be dogs, cats, exotics, birds. Their primary role is to provide their owners with emotional comfort. Emotional support animals can benefit a disabled individual psychologically. The basic gift of companionship and unconditional affection can be the therapy needed to counter a condition like debilitating depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

ESAs are protected under the Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA) and the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA). People meeting the proper criteria are entitled to an ESA to assist them with life. The FHAA protects individuals by allowing ESAs to live with them regardless of breed (even with no pet policies). The ACAA protects individuals by allowing ESAs to fly with them in the cabin of an airplane without having to pay additional fees. ESAs are not required to be professionally trained. An owner can train the pet. A landlord of public transport may require a letter of need written by a mental health counselor will be required. For additional legal and federal information request to [email protected].

BARK, BARK - COME AND GET ME PLEASE!
